「Shirokuma Japanese Online」Terms and Conditions
Article 1 (These Terms and Conditions)
These Terms and Conditions for the use of the Japanese conversation classes (hereinafter referred to as "these Terms") are established by Sky Nine Partners Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "the Company") and set forth the necessary provisions for using the online Japanese conversation classes (hereinafter referred to as "the Classes") offered on the "Shirokuma Japanese Online Conversation Classes" and "Asuka Japanese Academy" platform, operated by the Company.
Article 2 (Changes to These Terms and Conditions)
These Terms may be revised, amended, or have new provisions added at the discretion of the School, without the consent of members of the Shirokuma Japanese Online Conversation Classes. In such cases, the terms and conditions for using the member services will be based on the updated terms.
The revised terms will take effect once they are published or announced via the School’s website or through a method separately determined by the School, and will retroactively apply to all members.
Article 3 (Members)
A member of the Shirokuma Japanese Online Conversation Classes (hereinafter referred to as "Member") is defined as a person who agrees to these Terms, applies for membership in the Shirokuma Japanese Online Conversation Classes through the method prescribed by the School, and whose membership is approved by the School.
Article 4 (Refusal of Membership Registration)
The School may refuse an application for membership if any of the following conditions are deemed to apply:

If the School determines that there is a risk of violating, or an actual violation of, these Terms.

If any of the registration information provided to the School contains falsehoods, significant errors, or omissions.

If the applicant has been previously expelled due to a violation of these Terms.

If, for any other reason, the School deems the membership registration to be inappropriate, regardless of the reason.
Article 5 (Learning Environment)
To use the services of this School, hardware such as a computer or smartphone, a headset, and a webcam are required. Members are responsible for providing their own headset and webcam.
Online lessons will require the use of video meeting applications such as Zoom, Meet, or Teams.
Members must comply with the terms, guidelines, and other regulations of Zoom, Meet, Teams, and other such platforms.
The School assumes no responsibility for any damages caused by computer viruses or other issues resulting from files received or opened via Zoom, Meet, Teams, or similar platforms, as members use these platforms at their own risk.
The School will not be held responsible if members are unable to attend lessons due to malfunctions of hardware, software, or other equipment required for the use of online lessons, including those needed for Zoom, Meet, Teams, and similar platforms.
Article 6 (Payment Methods for Tuition Fees)
Tuition fees will be separately determined for each applicable lesson.
Tuition fees can be paid by one of the following methods:

Article 7 (Payment Deadline)
Tuition fees must be paid by the last day of the month preceding the month in which the lessons will take place.
Article 8 (Lesson Reservation, Changes, Cancellations, and Make-up Lessons) for Individual Lessons
Lessons are by reservation only.
Changes to the lesson date can be made at any time up to two days before the scheduled start of the lesson.
Cancellations made less than two days before the lesson will result in the loss of the right to attend the lesson on that day.
One make-up lesson per month is allowed.
If the member is late or there are issues with their computer, causing a delay in the start of the lesson, the instructor will wait for 15 minutes from the scheduled start time. After 15 minutes, the absence will be recorded.
Article 9 (Temporary Suspension) for Individual Lessons
Members may temporarily suspend lesson reservations and attendance (hereinafter referred to as "Temporary Suspension"). To suspend membership for a given month, members must notify the Company of their intent to suspend by the 25th of the month preceding the suspension. If the notification is made after the 25th, the suspension will take effect from the following month. Tuition fees for the month of suspension will not be charged.
Article 10 (Withdrawal) for Individual Lessons
To withdraw from membership, please submit the designated withdrawal form by the 25th of the month prior to the intended withdrawal.
Article 11 (Forced Withdrawal)
In the following cases, a forced withdrawal may be necessary:

Frequent inappropriate behavior during lessons or conduct that disturbs other members, if the member does not comply with the instructor's warnings or guidance.

Failure to pay tuition and other fees for two months or more despite repeated requests. (All outstanding tuition and fees must be paid before withdrawal.)

Actions that damage the School's reputation or disrupt its order.

Any other serious misconduct that undermines the trust relationship with the School.
Article 12 (Personal Information Protection)
Personal information provided by members, including information on the membership application form, will be strictly managed within the School to prevent leakage or loss.
Personal information will not be used without consent and will be used only within the scope of the granted consent. It will not be disclosed or provided to third parties.
Article 13 (Disclaimer and Warranty)
The School accepts no responsibility for disputes between members.
The School does not guarantee any specific results, as effectiveness may vary between individuals.
The School is not liable for damages resulting from the member’s intentional actions, negligence, or carelessness.
